Manor Software has significant expansion plans. We visited Sabina Klug, director of Manor Software, to discuss things like hiring new employees, creating teams, and finding a new office.
We plan to build additional teams in Zagreb for specific areas that represent our company’s new competencies and technologies. Among other areas, we have recently announced new IT Helpdesk positions. There are also plans to build a team for E-Commerce. In this domain, we are looking for Full Stack Developers, and also Testers. This team will form one entity in Zagreb and, together with the team in Switzerland, it will enable the company to scale and optimize our E-Commerce experience for the clients of Manor.
What other needs do you plan to address in the upcoming period?
There is still a need for EDI specialists. We successfully onboarded two colleagues in that area last year and would like to expand that team by a few more members. And we also see the possibility of providing our services to the ERP team. We are looking for people who know business, retail, and processes for this role. They would not necessarily be developers but would be the link between business and IT. These people must understand the business processes and have excellent communication skills.
What is the expected growth of the Manor Software team?
There are currently 12 of us, and it would be great if there were ten more by the end of the year. I see a long-term plan for about 30 people in Zagreb. We are working with high intensity to make it happen.
Does team growth require new office space?
That’s right, we are now in negotiations with the owner of a very attractive space, and we hope that we will be able to realize it soon. Although our office is well-equipped, we are looking for a way to provide our employees with an even more pleasant working environment. Simultaneously, we continue with the option of hybrid work, where employees work in the office 60% of the time and 40% from home.
What would you say to new team members- Why Manor?
Manor is an established Swiss company that recently celebrated its 120th anniversary, and we have been in Zagreb for over 20 years. Because we strive to provide our employees with a quality work-life balance, we care that the employees are satisfied and that we provide a quality work environment and projects. It’s also important to us that employees are happy with the salary and conditions.
Aside from tradition, what kind of opportunities does Manor offer to work with cutting-edge technologies?
We are currently in a new cycle within the BI team. Manor is starting with migrating the existing data warehouse from an older technology to a very modern cloud technology. As a result, we have the opportunity to work with leading IT companies in the world, such as Google, and at the same time learn something new and be competitive in the market.
