Senior System Engineer – Windows & Azure (m/f)

Join us and play a key role in ensuring the stability, security and continuous development of the IT infrastructure for Manor AG, one of Switzerland’s leading retailers.
As a Senior System Engineer – Windows & Azure (m/f) you will work across Windows, Linux, Kubernetes and cloud platforms, supporting Manor’s highly available hybrid multi-cloud environment and contributing to automation, modernization, migration and cloud integration initiatives.
💡 What you’ll do:
- Ensure stable operations across Windows, Linux and Kubernetes in a hybrid-cloud environment covering Azure, GCP and on-premises infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, certificate and security services
- Manage Azure services including Compute, Storage, Networking, Backup and Identity as well as VMware and Hyper-V environments
- Support infrastructure projects including migrations, modernization and cloud integrations
- Analyze and resolve 2nd and 3rd level incidents
- Automate and optimize infrastructure processes using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Maintain technical documentation and standards
- Collaborate with internal teams, application owners and external partners
🎯 What we’re looking for:
- Degree or professional qualification in IT, combined with extensive hands-on experience as a System Engineer in Windows and/or Azure environments
- Willingness to travel to Basel 4–6 times per year for several days at a time, occasionally including weekends
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of Linux; experience with Kubernetes is an advantage
- Good scripting skills with a strong focus on PowerShell
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls and routing
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code; Terraform experience is an advantage
- Analytical, independent and quality-focused approach with a strong sense of responsibility
- Structured, resilient and solution-focused, even in fast-paced situations
- Team-oriented with clear communication skills and a willingness to take ownership
- Professional fluency in German and English
- Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102 or ITIL are an advantage
